We do not recommend our numbers for stucco or for use with spacers, but for those who are interested in how our customer did this nice looking installation, please check out the customer's comments below:

"I used 1/4" copper tubing from a refrigerator icemaker water line kit (also remodeling my kitchen at the same time). I cut 10 pieces 3/4" long with a pipe cutter and then predrilled the stucco to receive the nails. Unfortunately I couldn't get copper nails (which would have been too soft for this application) so I used 1 1/2" long oak colored steel nails. The stucco was a formidable opponent; bending many nails, breaking all my small drill bits and ended up shifting some of the copper number spacers (you'll notice they aren't all perfectly straight). If it was in wood, I could guarantee a much more clean install. Before I installed everything I cleaned the numbers and tubing with a copper cleaner and then coated them with a clear coat to try and keep the patina to a minimum. Front to back (including drying time and tool clean up) it took about 2 hours."
